Discovered on Sunrise Blend 2 with his track Eternal, London producer Luxar is back on Juicy with his first EP. The title track I Don’t Love Her is reminiscent of all the sensuality of the 90s. This mood is accompanied by an unstoppable beat, a catchy synthetic rhythm and the skills of vocalist Milo Mills. The very promising producer Sweater Beats - who featured on Annie Mac’s show a few weeks ago - was on remix duty for I Don’t Love Her. His sounds belong somewhere between Trap music and Nu Disco and it’s by using this special recipe that he transforms this track into a more joyful vibe where melody becomes stronger than words.
The B-Side S’Il Vous Plait clearly creates a melancholic atmosphere, revealing more intensity as the track progresses. The girl’s whispers will surely remind you of your first love gone too soon… American beatmaker Lakim offers his very own and different version of the track by brutally changing everything except the bass - the result is obviously heavier than the original. Sloslylove, the second remixer of the track, brings his own touch by creating the sweetest ballad.

Succeeding Indian Summer and Remixxes Vol. 1, Falcons unveils their first single to be released on Juicy. Nigeria is a dark track, a solitary noctural trip through the buildings of a deserted town. Mingling uptempo juke rhythms, R&B and an unique blend of glitchs, coupled with samples taken from the African culture, the whole still has a modern flavour, showing us once again the extent of the duo’s influences. On the other hand, English boy Bobby Tank took us to a sunnier journey with his henceforth recognizable touch : ireful synths lines along with a restructured sample, these are the qualities of this remix that will fit every future funk amateur’s expectations.

Following the success of Sunrise Blend and meanwhile sustaining a constant eyes on the new fresh talents, we are proud to include Falcons in our crew.
Falcons is an amalgamation of many things, a boiling pot of styles and genre-free influence. It consists of Vancouver / Oakland based musicians TightMike and KayleoStocko, whose musical tastes range from world music to southern rap, and everything in between. The only rules and boundaries set on this project were to find a balance between cerebral, forward thinking beat music like we’ve seen advance in L.A. and abroad, and original dancefloor melting rhythms, ultimately giving the listener a style that’s diverse and eclectic to say the least.
After Indian Summer, first shot released in September, the duo published last friday a free EP of remixes, exposing their skill on such an exercise and affirming their talent. Available on their Bandcamp page, they show us a preview of their upcoming work to be released on Juicy. You can down it freely or give something for them.
